What Is This Site About?    page 2

This is a new framework for seeing the Universe. Not just the physical Universe, the whole Universe.

Physical reality is literally only one half of the picture. It’s a lot easier to see what’s set before our eyes than what’s behind them. Consciousness is the other half of the picture. Of course, the word ‘consciousness’ is used and misused and usually taken far too personally. We think that it’s in our minds, but it’s more like the other way around. I would describe it like this; in direct parallel with our bodies moving through physical reality, our minds are moving through consciousness. Consciousness is the vast realm of thoughts and ideas that our minds experience in small pieces as we go through the day.

Have you ever wondered why mankind is so different from the rest of the world? What causes our behavior to deviate so radically from any other species?

Everything exists in physical reality, including our own bodies, but awareness (that’s pretty much what we amount to) is in the mind. Every morning our minds leave our bodies behind and move into consciousness. Nighttime completes a four-part cycle when the mind returns, back into one with our bodies in sleep.

This is just one. There are myriads of seemingly unrelated cycles, from mankind’s evolution as a species, to the aging process in each individual lifespan, from the yearly cycle, to the daily cycle to intake and exhale of every breath. All play out a pattern illustrating an omnipresent underlying Truth.

Each of the following pieces detail different cycles that are a normal part of our lives. Together they demonstrate consistent parallels with each other, but more importantly, to an underlying energetic cycle which has far greater significance. (They can all be accessed on the contents page.)

The Theory
The Metaphysical Cycle
The Cycle and Mankind

The next five pieces discuss the interplay of the Four Elements. Earth, Air, Water and Fire along with The Sun are an external parallel of the same archetypal energetic cycle that we experience internally. In fact, they are manifestations of the original archetypal patterns of Jungian psychology.

The Four Elements  have been part of belief systems for many millennia. They were and still are worshipped as metaphysical beings. Of course, monotheism has been all the rage for the last couple thousand years or so here in the west. But before the missionaries brought Christ’s message of love to the America’s, there was in place a system that related to the Powers of the Universe existent in the physical world. A system that emphasized a need to maintain balance and harmony.

These are the same powers behind the cycle I’m describing. Macro/micro, they make up our own inner beings as well as the external arena. We are interacting with them, one after another, as our awareness moves through this cycle. They are expressions of the energy of the Universe as well as the energy of our own beings in four different states.

So, although I’m not introducing these powers for the first time by any means, I am introducing a far deeper understanding of who they are, how they came into being, and their energetic influence or tendency. Understanding their true significance ties together the totality of our beings, (our physical world with our conscious existence) in balance and harmony.

All we can learn from scientific exploration of the physical world cannot open the door to comprehending the brilliant design that creates our dualistic reality. It’s the work of an intelligent Universe that has waited for eons for the energy to evolve to the point that She can, at last, share Her secrets. Secrets with the power to transform the most mundane details of our lives into the revelation of mysteries sought by both science and mystics throughout the ages.
